A.M. & P.M. Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss with Suzanne Deason
This DVD contains 2 25-minute programs to assist with weight loss. A.M. Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss is a revitalizing morning workout to help you wake up, energize and set your intentions for the day. P.M. Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss is a rejuvenating and relaxing program to help you release the day’s tensions and stress from mind and body, helping you to stay on track with your goals. Both are appropriate for beginners.

Yoga For Flexibility with Linda Arkin
I like this DVD alot. It is a very good DVD to improve flexibility. It is about 40 minutes long which is a good length to do at one time.

Yoga For Relaxation and Rejuvenation with Linda Arkin
I like this DVD too. It is very good; nice and relaxing. Very good for beginners. It is about 40 minutes long which is a good length to do at one time.

Yoga For Strength with Linda Arkin
This is a very good DVD, too; and not too hard for beginners. It is about 40 minutes long which is a good length to do at one time.

Basic Yoga Workout for Dummies
This is a good basic beginners yoga workout as well as a good introduction to the practice of yoga. Fundamental postures are explained and demonstrated slowly with an emphasis on combining breathing and movement. It offers step-by-step instruction for 12 basic yoga postures it calls the "Daily Dozen" and offers challenges and modifications to each of these poses. This DVD is very good for someone who is completely new to yoga; however, I do feel that after several viewings the user will want to branch out from the "daily dozen" poses. This DVD is about 50 minutes long.

Crunch Total Yoga
This DVD is more energetic than most beginners yoga DVDs. I really like it for that reason. I don't feel it is too hard for beginners; it is more challenging than most but it is lots of fun. It also is 30-minutes long which I think is a good length.

Living Arts All-Day Yoga Workout with Rodney Yee, Suzanne Deason and Pataricia Walden
This is a good DVD. It contains three separate 20 minute workouts: one for the a.m., one for the p.m., and one for stress relief. Rodney Yee teaches the a.m one and it is very good as is the one on stress relief instructed by Suzanne Deason. The p.m. vorkout is taught by Pataricia Walden and is more difficult. It is not as good for beginners for that reason.

Living Arts Total-Body Yoga Workout with Rodney Yee and Suzanne Deason
This is a very good beginners yoga DVD and one of my favorites. It contains three separate 20 minute workouts: one for the lower body, one for abs, and one for the upper body. Rodney Yee and Suzanne Deason are excellent instructors.

Living Arts Yoga Conditioning For Weight Loss with Suzanne Deason
This is an excellent DVD for beginners as well as for the more advanced yoga practitioner. It is a complete workout in 45 minutes with a 10-minute warm up, 20-minute standing routine, and a 15-minute floor routine and relaxation section. The workout accommodates all levels of fitness from sedentary to physically active by simultaneously demonstrating 4 levels of modification. I like that it moves fairly slowly and includes instructions for coordinating breathing with each posture. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Yoga Mind & Body with Ali McGraw
I think this DVD is too advanced for a beginner and would only recommend it to an intermediate or advanced yoga practitioner. It is 50 minutes long. I found it very challenging.

New Yoga Basics with Kathy Smith
This is a DVD, about 50 minutes long. It is a complete yoga workout and includes very good basic instructions for yoga practice. Most of the postures are easy enough for beginners but some are more challenging.

Yoga Conditioning for Women with Suzanne Deason
This DVD is a 60-minute flowing workout to strengthen your body, quiet your mind and open your heart. It is not really a very good workout for beginners as the poses aren't explained very well and the poses themselves are more suited to an advanced beginner or intermediate.

Yoga Journal's Yoga for Back Care with Rodney Yee
This DVD contains a 3-part workout which focuses on strengthening back muscles to maintain a healthy back. He utilizes several props including a blanket, bolster, chair, brick, and strap to make the poses more gentle and accessible to those at all levels of fitness. The first section concentrates on simple stretches to warm up your back muscles. The second workout places greater emphasis on strength moves. It ends with a series of lying stretches.

Yoga Journal's Yoga for Longevity with Rod Stryker
This 60-minute practice combines lengthening poses, standing poses to strengthen the spine, and an extended meditation. The DVD is really 2 30-minute programs and you can do just the first one or do both for a longer woukout.
